   I was just curious if there is a way to stop people from being able to comment on blogs anonymously, without having to moderate each comment individually.

   Assuming that your blog is hosted here on WordPress.com, please read this:

   http://support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/

   What you are looking for is #1 in the "Other comment settings".

   In Settings > Discussion http://support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/ you can ask for (among other things):

   1 Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
   but that could be fake
   or
   2 Users must be registered and logged in to comment
   but then people must register at wordpress.com first
   or
   3 Comment author must have a previously approved comment
   which holds only new commenters but allows approved commenters to post freely

   You probably want to activate #1 and #3

   Thanks, but I already had two sizable mugs...I'll better have a third one before doing more work here...
