   Are the comments that have recently been posted to this entry spam: http://cnyspeaks.com/2011/02/17/civic-discourse/#comments?

   It's an old entry that hasn't seen activity in awhile and suddenly seems to be being utilized by a very polite phishing scheme. I'm getting lots of inquires about how nice the site looks and other operational issues by commentators with highly commercial sites.

   The CNYSpeaks blog is designed specifically for people to comment on, so I want to be responsive if they are legit comments and I don't want to unnecessarily take anything down. But I also don't want to expose myself or other readers to any sort of scam. Normally I can tell the difference, but these are throwing me a bit. It is a scam, right?

   The blog I need help with is cnyspeaks.com.

   Yes, they're typical spam comments that have no relation to the actual content of the post. Don't trash them, mark them as spam so that Akismet will learn to catch any new comments from the same source.
