Issue with liking my blog

  1. Can anyone tell me why when 2 people I know who have tried liking one of my blog posts that when they try a display comes up asking for a password?

Others who have liked mu blog don't appear to have had that problem.

Help would be appreciated because I don't know just how many others have been having that same problem.

The blog I need help with is mickwosika.wordpress.com.

  2. You must be logged in under a WordPress.com/Gravatar account to use the "like" button.
The like button is for in-house users only.
You cannot use the Facebook like button without registering a Facebook account.
You cannot use the WordPress.com like button without registering a WordPress.com/Gravatar account.

If they do have WordPress.com/Gravatar accounts then they were not logged in.

  3. Ok, so what you are telling me is that only people who have Gravatar accounts and who are signed in are the only ones who can like one of my blog post...

Is this only Word press blogs?

As I am new to blogging as from abot 3 weeks ago it was only in the last few days that I actually created a gravator, but I certainly did not know that this would be the reason.

Are they allowed to make comments without having a gravatar account?

I granted authorisation to facebook which I thought was the reason.

    Thanks, Mick
