Issues with adding Google Map to my blog

  1. I've been having issues adding Google Map to my blog. I followed the procedure given in the support section of WordPress site. The map was working fine, but I updated it yesterday, and it won't show anymore. Every time I press "Update", the <iframe> code is converted to html tag. Please help.

    <iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=207936144456684613355.0004c0601410b6ed59d65&ie=UTF8&t=m&ll=37.769158,32.94019&spn=28.352759,50.682953&output=embed"></iframe>

  2. I have also run into this issue today Ev, so I will be watching for someone to comment on it here. I've tried every which way to get the google map to show, but it won't.

  3. Sorry, 'Ev' should have been 'backpackerscribbles' Didn't see a way to edit the post.

  4. I've been having the same problem. A few weeks ago I was able to follow the directions and it worked perfectly. Here is the code that ended up on the blog

    [googlemaps http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=203675039820328264826.0004bfa5401babdec8ea3&msa=0&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=46.940184,-120.642586&spn=0.112516,0.219727&z=12&output=embed&w=640&h=480%5D

Unfortunately I haven't been able to duplicate this. Here is the code I put into the next post

    <iframe width="640" height="480" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=205015412165253268385.0004c107d7d6ec514bae6&msa=0&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=45.378196,-122.943878&spn=0.115756,0.219727&z=12&output=embed"></iframe>
    <small>View 44 miles of thought in a larger map</small>

and here is the code that returned after hitting "Save draft"

    Any suggestions?

  5. Just as an update, I have now succeeded in adding the google maps to my posts. I must have been doing something wrong, but I went back and followed the directions for adding a google map, WORD FOR WORD, and it worked. Once you paste the proper code into the HTML editor, you must click on UPDATE and then you will see the short code generated by WordPress in place of the code you pasted. You can then go to your blog and the map will be there. It is very important that you don't click on anything else while you are adding your map.

  6. I've continued try and import the map and after a few days of trying, it worked again. I hope this gets to be a more consistent process. We're hoping to map an upcoming bike tour and I won't have hours to spend on each map.
