Issues with dimensions of footer widgets in Coraline.

  1. Hi there,

I'm pretty new to WP and very new to CSS customization. Basically, I'm having an issue with the footer widgets on my site (http://devsevenine.wordpress.com).

The footer on all pages is perfect, except for the "Discog" page which for some reason stretches right across and is much wider than the rest of the content. I'm assuming because the other pages are fine that this is something to do with the content or a glitch in some code specific to that page. Do I have to much content on that page? Is there a problem with the CSS or HTML I've used?

If you head to http://devsevenine.wordpress.com/discog/ you'll see exactly what I mean since I'm sure I'm not explaining this very well.

Any help/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is devsevenine.wordpress.com.

  2. I just checked out your site and I can't see the problem happening, so it seems like you may have fixed it on your own. From your description, it sounds like you either had some custom CSS or perhaps some bad HTML on that one page which was causing you some trouble. If you have time to follow up with how you fixed the issue, that'd be great!

  3. Hi there, sorry. I thought I'd changed this to resolved. A friend showed me a blog with the solution to this. Basically there's a box in settings > writing which says "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically". All I had to do was tick that box.

  4. Cool, thanks for posting back with a follow-up. Much appreciated.

    :)
