    I use the Cutline theme and starting today, I've been getting italics in only this post in the comments. Anyone that might could offer an explanation?

    The blog I need help with is unfinishedperson.com.

  2. Edit the post. Open the HTML editor and close the open italics tag.
    </em>

    Simple Explanation > You copied and pasted without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    Longer Explanation > This is typically caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts. And is frequently created by copying and pasting text without using the appropriate icons either 5 ( Paste as Plain Text ) or ( Paste from Word) in Row 2 of the Visual editor to strip extraneous code and insert the remainder into a post. It can also be a result of importing text contained invalid HTML. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    Go to settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “Save Changes.”

    Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal. If not, open the next post and do the same thing until it goes back to normal.

    Thanks. That corrected it. The error was in the comments. Someone put italics in their comments, but didn't have the right code and it threw everything off. It's been corrected now. Thanks again for the assistance. I never realized that italics within one comment would affect the next comment, and so on, until tonight.
