   Does this mean if I purchased an upgrade I still could not change the color of my links (blue) and Calendar-date-color on Posts (red) - (all this in a purple themed template - could this be the result of color blindness I wonder.)

   UPDATED:

   OK, found how to change link colors.

   Now need to know how to change Calendar color in Posts (its currently red).

   To change the background color of the month box on single posts in the iTheme2 theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

   .post-date .month {
   	border: solid 1px #ff69n4;
   	background: #d7a2d8;
   	background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#d7a2d8), to(#b85aba));
   	background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #d7a2d8, #b85aba);
   	background: linear-gradient(-90deg, #d7a2d8, #b85aba);
   }
   
   .post-date a {
   	text-decoration: none;
   }

   Thank you for this code.

   I would only be purchasing CSS to change this one feature on my webstie. Is there any way of changing the color of the Calendar without having to purchase CSS to do so?

   No, but you CAN use a Google calendar and change the colours right on Google.

   This upgrade comes with Staff support and you will have to be patient while waiting for it.

   So what I am hearing is that this is a definitive answer - which is what I was asking - the only way to change the color of the calendar in Posts is to purchase the CSS upgrade, and use the code provided above.

   Correct. You must purchase the Custom Design upgrade in order to customize the appearance of a theme if a customization you want isn't built into the theme as a theme option. iTheme2 does come with a few color scheme options as theme options, but it looks like the calendar graphic you're referring to is red in each case—so you would indeed need to purchase the Custom Design upgrade in order to change it.
