iTheme2 Featured Image questions

  1. So I am starting to build my blog using the iTheme2 theme. I am planning making about 10 sticky posts with featured images so they all stick to the image carousel.

Each featured image is a different piece of art but when you click on it to go to the post it shows both the featured image in a post header (which is cropped and doesn't show the full artwork) and the same image (uncropped) in the post body. Since these posts won't have much text it looks really weird having a cropped featured image and then the same image fullsized below it. I'd like to have just the fullsized version.

Is there a way to keep a featured image active so it stays in the carousel but not have it show up in the post? I'd like to have just the fullsized image from the post show up, otherwise if there is a way to have the featured image uncropped that would work too and I would remove the image in the post. As of now the site is private since nothing is really on it yet.

Also, I don't have the custom CSS option purchased but if it will take care of this issue I'll definitely be purchasing it, just want make sure though.

The blog I need help with is dickbonkoski.wordpress.com.

  3. WordPress.com is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template. We bloggers cannot access those files and we cannot edit templates or themes. Only Staff can access those files and every edit they make affects every blog wearing the same theme. You cannot use CSS editing to change anything except appearance. You cannot use it to change functionality. I encourage you to carefully read this section of the support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions
