It's been asked, I know... but I can't figure it out!

  1. I'm building a new blog for a charity and I would like to put an image - this one: http://bclung.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/lung-association-logo-reversed-white.gif

    into the header where the Site Title normally would be. I've tried all sorts of combinations with the CSS, but have been unsuccessful.

    Any help would be grately appreciated!!!! :)

    The blog I need help with is bclung.wordpress.com.

  2. This will do it for you.

    #header {
    background: url("http://bclung.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/lung-association-logo-reversed-white.gif") no-repeat scroll 0 30px transparent;
    }

    Also, add the following to your CSS and then go back to settings > general and add a site title there. It is not good from an SEO standpoint not to have a title that the search engines can find and see. The following allows the search engines to see the title, but will keep the standard text title from appearing in the header area.

    #logo .site-title {
    display: none;
    }
  3. @thesacredpath: you should run for president of the world.

    Much love... we're tinkering with it now and seems like it's going to be exactly what we want after some tweaks. You are a genius and a life saver - and by that, I mean you've stopped me from banging my head against my keyboard.

    THANK YOU.

  4. Thank you and you are welcome.

  5. I'm were bclung was yesterday. I've played with the code for hours and hours for two days now, and I cannot get it to recognize the .jpeg I've chosen for my header. I can do everything else to the header except change it, it seems.

    I'm using the Coraline theme with adjustments to accommodate a wider and less tall header. The page recognizes the space needed, just not the image.

    Thanks for any help.
