   I'm trying to create a menu for my site and have read the tutorials but they are like Greek to me. I'll do everything is says and then it'll say something like "In the Theme Locations module, under Primary Navigation, select the title of the custom menu you want to activate and click Save." and I have no idea what the "Theme Locations module" is and WHERE is "Primary Navigation." Nothing says Primary Navigation on my dashboard.

   Here is what I basically want. Instead of my page being a "blog" (the way it looks now) I want it to be different pages in different menus. Because I don't know how to do that, I've been writing my pages as POSTS and organizing them by category but really what I want is for my categories to actually be the menu tabs, and my post to be pages. Does that make sense? I need someone to REALLY dumb it down for me because like I said, I'm trying to read the "support" pages and I don't know what they're talking about.

   OK! Now I have a menu, on the right (although I'd prefer it be on the left or top of the page) but when I click on the menu is doesn't go to anything! I want it to go to like, a list of links that correspond to the post in that category... you know what I mean? Should I make a new page, copy my post and make it a page, and then have it go to the new page via that menu items? BAH! I don't get it. I wish they had Genius Bar for Word Press.

   Have you seen another blog here at WordPress.COM that does things the way you'd like so we can see an idea of what you want visualized?

   Have you set your preferred blog site at Gravatar?

   I don't even know what Gravatar is.

   It seems like what I want is like... typical website. A Menu going horizontally across the top. The individual categories in my menu are:

   1.) "Beaches"

   2.) "Playgrounds and Parks"

   3.)"Zoos, Aquariums, Centers"

   4.)"Historical and Cultural Attractions"

   5.)"Events."

   When a visitor put his or her mouse over the menu, say... "Playgrounds and Parks" then they will see a drop down menu of my post (that I'm now turning into pages) on individual parks and playground.

   I've figured out that I need to turn my post in to pages in order to put them in a menu. I'm converting them now. I kind of am able to get them into a menu (although I don't fully comprehend what I'm doing, particularly because I keep "naming the menu" "Menu #3 and doing that keeps changing the name of my category "Beaches" into Menu #3" and then the name of my menu into "Beaches")

   The menu on my page (keikisdayout.com) is on the right. Is there anyway for me to move it to the top or the left? I'm not a big fan of the way the menu looks, but I like the theme. Anything I can do about that?

   Maybe you need a change in theme. Check out http://theme.wordpress.com/ and see what you might like. There are free themes and premium themes. Click the "See it in Action" buttons.

   Brand New Day is a theme that does not have a menu on top. If you make a custom menu, then you'll have to place it in a sidebar.

   BTW, you don't need to make your posts into pages in order to include them in a custom menu. You just categorize the posts as
   "Beaches" "Playgrounds and Parks" "Zoos, Aquariums, Centers" "Historical and Cultural Attractions" "Events."
   Then add links to those categories to your custom menu.
