  1. Neither the "comment author must fill out name and email" or "users must be registered and logged in to comment" boxes are checked in my Settings, but readers still must login to wordpress to leave a comment. My page is password-protected so only a handful of people will have access to it, but I want them to be able to leave comments without needing a wordpress account. Help!

The blog I need help with is teachinglepstudents.wordpress.com.

  2. If they enter an email address in the field in the comment form, and it is tied to a wordpress.com or gravatar.com account, then they will still have to log in. What you might want to do is to put a notice in a text widget, or perhaps even at the end of your posts telling them that if they enter an email address that is associated with a wp.com or gravatar account, they will have to sign in, but that they do NOT have to enter an email address to comment. Or something to that effect.
