Jet Pack Comments feature and avatars

    I am a VA that handles many accounts. I have my own email address assigned to my clients' self hosted WP sites so that I receive their comments. I have an avatar of my own. My clients do not. I have installed the JetPack plugin as I need it for things like LinkedIn. I like the feature whereby people can follow comments, however when the replies to comments go back to the commenter, my avatar is showing up in the comment even though I have NOT checked the 'show avatar' box on the discussion page of the site. This is a real problem. What can be done about this?
