Jetpack

    I had a notice on my blog about installing Jetpack by WordPress.com as it will supersede WordPress.com Stats, so I duly uploaded it into my plugin folder and activated it. Unfortunately it made all my posts disappear on my blog, so I unactivated it. But now my blog isn't recognised by my username in WordPress.com, so the WordPress.com Stats plugin won't work. How do I get my blog recognised again?

    The blog I need help with is alicedesigns.wordpress.com.

    The JetPack support page doesn't mention anything about having your posts suddenly disppear when it is activated. Does anybody else have this problem? I am very annoyed that when I deactivated JetPack all my stats have disappeared because WordPress.com Stats and my blog are not recognised by WordPress.com any more.

    I am especially annoyed because I recently changed my theme to get WordPress.com Stats to start working again after a very long absence, and now I cannot see anything again.

    When I activate JetPack to my WordPress.com account, my posts disappear. When I deactivate Jetpack from my WordPress.com account, my posts return.

    This means I cannot see my stats any more with my posts still being visible.

    Will this anomaly be corrected in due course?

    And how can I get my username in WordPress.com to see my WordPress.org blog again? It was eliminated after I installed JetPack.

    We Volunteers in this WordPress.com support forum do not have plugins. There is no FTP access to our blogs. All we can do is direct your to JetPack support where you can get assistance from Staff.

    None of the threads help.

    JetPack is a plugin for WordPress.org to see the blog's stats through WordPress.com. I am not referring to a WordPress.com blog.

    Please could you let JetPack know of this problem. Their support system doesn't help. There doesn't seem to be a way to speaking to a person on the JetPack team.

    I clearly understand the difference between WordPress.COM free hosted blogs and WordPress. ORG installs. Be ware that if your WordPress.ORG install has not been upgrade to the the latest version of WordPress which is WordPress 3.2.1 then this could be causing your problem.

    Also note this:

    As it happens I've given up with JetPack and gone with another stats plugin instead.

    If you happen to come back to this thread, you really, really need to check on your site. It timed out on me twice and when I tested it with the pingdom.com page tester, it choked on your site and would not finish the test, again because of timeouts. This could be an issue with your web hosting company, but from the list of resources that are shown as being loaded, it sounds like your main page is just too image heavy. I could be wrong, because I cannot even get your site to load at all.

    Just something to look into.

    I am seeing two versions of my site connected to WOrdpress.com from jetpack. I have disconnected and reconnected and one goes away and comes back. Can the other one be manually removed?
