Keeping each post within it's own space?

  1. Can you put space between each blog? Meaning you can see some of the background color between posts like on PerezHilton? I have Theme Diggs 3 column. Thank you for the help!

    The blog I need help with is delawarenewsnow.com.

  2. It would require the paid CSS upgrade and CSS editing experience.

  3. It appears the OP has the CSS upgrade. Or is he/she using the in-line position text widget trick?

  4. It didn't appear as if they had the upgrade from looking with Firebug, but digging a little deeper it appears they do. The new Firebug has changed some stuff and makes it a little more difficult to tell now. It used to be very easy.

    What we would need to know, is do they want to get rid of the white background now behind the sidebars and the content or do they just want to add a background to the posts themselves?

    The former will require a good bit of CSS stuff to remove all the elements that make up the background of the content area. The latter would be considerably easier.

  5. Yeah, well, even though you are already looking at this thread, I'll move it to the CSS forum.

    (CSS is not really in my repertoire, but from the time I used Digg 3, I'm guessing it's not the easiest theme to modify (just speaking from non-experience) )

  6. Thank you so much. I will go for the easier way at the moment. I will just add the background to the posts themselves to keep it simple for now. What is the best way to do this?

  7. For now, that would probably be easiest although with each new post you will have to add the code to create the background (inline CSS), and you will have to edit all the existing posts.

  8. I am sorry for not knowing much but how would I do that? I followed your steps to change the sidebar titles color and it worked perfectly! Thanks again.

  9. Add this to the CSS and then you can play with the bottom margin and color.

    .post {
        background-color: #FF0000;
        margin-bottom: 20px;
    }
