Keeping Tags From Being Displayed

  1. I was wondering if someone could help me out. Is it required to have your tags listed under each blog entry or can you prevent them from being publicly displayed? I think it makes my blog look tacky. I'm new to WordPress so some instructional replies would help me the most. Any additional input you may have on "tidying up" my blog would be helpful as well. Thanks and happy blogging!

The blog I need help with is thegangisound.wordpress.com.

  2. Each theme displays tags differently; some are more intrusive than others. The theme in which you can hide tags is iNove.

Would suggest looking at the Help topic regarding Tags. It looks like the ones you are using are very specific – remember tags are like an index in a book – you want to keep them short and limit them to about 10. Categories would serve better with what you are doing with tags.

You have a lot of widgets (Items in your sidebar), you may want to remove some of them – the image you have is being cut-off when I view it.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

readytochangenow gave you the correct information. If you do not wish to switch to the iNove theme which has the option of disabling tags and category display, then it is possible to remove or hide the display in Modularity Lite by purchasing a custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.
