The LaTeX code appears to be correct. I don't know what's the cause of the LaTeX to appear "blacked out".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is thehexagonlavish.wordpress.com.

The CSS forum is for those who have the Custom Design upgrade and want to customize their blog via CSS editing. You don't seem to have the upgrade. You posted about the issue here:

The issue has to do with the particular theme you're using, it needs to be corrected by WP, the right place to post about it is the Themes forum, and that's where the thread was moved to; so you've got nothing to do other than wait for WP staff to see that thread and fix the problem.
I'm sorry. Where exactly in the Themes forum was my original inquiry moved to? If you don't mind me asking. Thank you for your reply.
Nevermind, lol.
You're welcome, and no need to apologize: I'm just explaining things!
In cases like this, it's nice to have a specific example or screenshot whenever possible. For your blog, I found an example of the problem here:

And I took this screenshot to document it:

Thanks for reporting this issue! We've reported the problem to our developers, and now we just need to wait for a fix.
