Latex usage

    According to this page: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/02/18/can-i-put-math-or-equations-in-my-posts/

    I can simply start typing $latex code% -- however when I try to do so it doesn't work. Is this so because I have my own wordpress on a server, and what do I need to install to get this working?

    Yes and we don't do self installed wordpres here. Please consult http://wordpress.ORG/support
