Layout Errors across themes

  1. Hi all, I have been experiencing a problem that seems to apply across themes that I try. The right side bar is appearing as the footer and the footer as a left side bar. I've tried the items suggested in the online support to isolate any DIV issues but nothing as worked. This applies to all pages of the site, and all themes attempted. Please help.

The blog I need help with is project-pro.us.

  2. This is most often caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

Go to settings > writing and select "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically" and then click "save changes."

Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding and then deleting a space, and then click "update post." Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

  3. Actually I take that back. You pasted the stylesheet for some theme into the CSS edit window and that is mucking up all your stuff. CSS is theme specific and if you have the CSS for another theme in the CSS edit window while another theme is active it will destroy your site as you found out.

Go to appearance > custom design > CSS, delete everything from the CSS edit area, make sure 'add to existing...' is selected and then click "save stylesheet."

  4. Yay!!! Fixed. Thank you so much!!!
