So my layout is looking kind of crazy- pushing older blog posts to my right side and pushing all my widgets underneath the most recent post and to the left--these are usually at the right. Any ideas?

Most likely you've got some twisted HTML in one of your posts, but it is easy to fix.
Go to settings > writing and select "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically" and save.
Next, starting with your latest post, open it in the post editor, switch to the HTML tab and then back to the visual tab (allowing each to fully load) and then click update. Check your site (making sure to force refresh the page). If it doesn't cure the problem, go to the next older post and rinse and repeat.
