Let me ask a different way

I can't seem to figure this out and would really appreciate some help,

I want to have several lightbox slideshows on a page. I would like each one to be represented by a single thumbnail that the user clicks on to see that series of photos. Clicking on the second thumbnail on the page would bring up a different series of pix in the lightbox.

The closest I am is that the lightbox and pix look pretty good. The problem is that every picture in the series is displayed on the page and you can click on any one to start the slideshow.

Also, have tried several "multiple gallery" plug-ins and can't seem to make them work.

Am I just trying to do something that can't be done?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is ajaxoftherockies.wordpress.com.

  2. No, neither of those will work. Those are for WordPress.ORG blogs.

why would being on a different host make it not work? Is it not the same WordPress software I downloaded and installed on my site?

I'm sorry, but I have no idea how to do what the guy suggests in the fancyboxlight link

"Add the thumbnails with the rel='gallery' tag to the page but give the ones you don't want to show on the page a style="display:none". "

not a clue. (too much of a code noob)

Can someone clarify for a dummy?

  5. Is it not the same WordPress software I downloaded and installed on my site?

    Means:

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
