How do I get my "likes" to display on each blog entry on my page WITHOUT having to click on each entry to see the likes.

I can’t see the buttons on the front page.
Make sure to select “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” for “Show buttons on” setting. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#troubleshooting
Note there are variations from theme to theme.

Forgive my ignorance..but WHERE do I click on Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results. I have looked and looked and can't keep sitting here wondering.
More specific instructions would be most helpful.
