Likes, but no views?!

  1. I get almost 5 likes on my posts each day, but I rarely get any views! The people who are looking at my blog are not counting as views. How can this be?? Is there any way I can change it so I can see the people who like my blog as views?

    Thanks,
    Marcella

The blog I need help with is funfactsforkids.wordpress.com.

  2. Likes are not page views. In fact, likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. See here for what I do to compel readers to read posts on my site > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats

  3. Thanks, Timethief! That helped me very much. I was wondering, do you work for WordPress? You help other people so much!

  4. And also, can people follow my blog without counting it as a view, too?

  6. Thank you, Time Thief, for all your help! You should get more acknowledgments! I'm glad that you are a volunteer, it makes you more well-being :)

    I'm a Volunteer and I'm blushing re: thedribblingpensioner's answer.

Yes. There are several different ways that readers can become followers. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
