Likes button dissapearing - howto find?

    Greetings,
    This might be so yesterday's topic but excuse my lack of wp techy concerning Likes button. I sometimes find this feature on others blog and want to enable it on mine. Appearance - extras - show likes on my blog posts, marked but doesn't work on me blog... or it only appears to others who are visiting my blog?

    UPDATE: ha, there! After several (hard) refresh I managed to find it.
    Now, is this feature applicable on pages also?

    No the "like" button it is not available on static pages. Static pages are meant to be used for static content only. Pages and posts are very different. You can confirm that the "like" button is not available for static pages by simply logging out and then visiting your blog and clicking the link for your About page.

    Static Pages sit outside the blog structure. Static pages cannot have Categories and Tags assigned to them. Pages do not appear in our RSS feeds. Most Pages do not have date stamps in their URLs. They have very little “Google juice” and other bloggers rarely if ever backlink to static Pages in their published posts. Hence, static Pages make very little, if any, contribution towards a blog's PageRank.

    OK. I'm a technological dunce. I still can't figure out how to get the Like button on my posts. I post almost every day (have every day since the Like was announced) and the Like button has never shown up on my blog.

    @sumnonrabidus:
    Like button is on admin bar and at the bottom of your posts. Note that those buttons only appears when you visit a post, and not on home page.
