I doubt that I am the first to come up with this issue, but I am currently working on a project using a free version of WordPress that is running into a road block. I was wondering if the great team of WP developers are looking to openup the free version of wordpress' widget offerings to compete with blogger's exhaustive collection of free gadgets.

It would help if you provided a link to your blog as there are three versions of wordpress and they are all free. This forum is for blogs hosted at wordpress.COM and without a link to your blog, we don't know which version you are referring to.
