I would like to know whether it's possible to link a blog post on the home page to one of my static pages when I click on the blog or image? Should I be using something like this:

Wait, if you're asking about WordPress.ORG, you're in the wrong forum. There are two types of WordPress, and this forum is for WordPress.COM.

No no, sorry, i realise now why you're saying that, but I'm using a wordpress.com version and would like to find a way for my blog to link to a page. In other words, when i hover and click on the blog box, I would like this to take me to a static page directly, rather than a longer version of the blog post. I think if you look at the home page as is at rhe moment, you'll realise what I mean. Is this possible?

The boxes in Imbalance 2 link to posts, and there is not a way to change that.
You can link to a page from the menu system though. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
