Link, button, widget - I am confused ...

  1. Hi, I just opened up a facebook account and I wanted to add my profile link to my WordPress blog. There is a code at the bottom of my facebook page, but I have no idea where to put it. I am not sure if it will end up being like a button or just a link.

    Thanks for any help ...

    Here is the code: <a href="http://www.facebook.com/p/Lindsay_MacNeil/867990276">Facebook me!</a>

  2. Looks like it will just be a link. Best bet would be to add it into a text widget until you get the hang of wordpress. Please take a look at Dashboard -> Presentation -> Sidebar Widgets. Slide a Text Widget over to teh sidebar space and click on the little white box with lines that you'll see. That's where you add in your code.

    Hope this helps,
    -drmike

  3. Thanks so much!

I thought it would be a cool button thingy, guess not.

  4. There's probably a version of code that does that but you'd have to dig around facebook for that.

Maybe someone else can suggest something.

  5. So Facebook has a tool where you can create your own badge to put on your blog, or website, or wherever. The link is located on your profile page under your photo, it's called Create a Profile Badge!
Even I could make my own, so it's not hard!

    Thanks again drmike!
