LinkedIn Badge / Widget?

  1. I've tried using LinkedIn's code for putting in a badge via WP's text widget, but it just doesn't seem to work (http://unleashedabundance.wordpress.com). It's ironic that there isn't an easier badge, since WordPress is one of the ***only*** two blog platforms you can use to feed into your LI profile, that there isn't a more robust selection of badges (or an LI widget) for our WP blogs... Any advice?

The blog I need help with is unleashedabundance.wordpress.com.

  2. We would need to see the code. You can paste it here in the forum between backticks (the key to the left of the #1).

  3. AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH! Not a rant against you, but against LinkedIn -- it took me a bloody half hour to find the place on their site where you can get the widget / badge code again...

I was trying to put up the "Inline Insert" -- I'm sure part of the problem is that their instructions are not laid out very simply... (That's LinkedIn for you...)

    Thank you!

  4. There is this for Linkedin and wordpress: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2008/10/29/the-wordpress-app-for-linkedin/ .

Most of the widget stuff will typically contain either flash or javascript.

You can put an image in a text widget in your sidebar and link it to your linkedin page if you wish using standard HTML.

  5. Yep - I've had my wordpress blog feeding into my LI account since April with no problem. I tried putting in their badge text into a WP text widget, but I'm really not understanding how to do so -- the "instructions" on the link I gave above are extremely confusing...

  6. If you want, I can make your image based LinkedIn Profile Widget for you:
