Linking custom header image to homepage of blog

  1. Hi,

    I've created a custom header in photoshop and uploaded it to the yoko theme to serve as the blog's header. Right now the header isn't clickable to redirect to the blog's homepage. I just switched from the 2011 theme, whose header was clickable, to yoko, and I'd like to keep the header clickable - is this something I can do in the css customization? Also having difficulties finding the correct code.

    Blog is: academicmedicineblog.org

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is academicmedicineblog.org.

  2. A.F.A.I.K. you need a link around the image, and you can't use css alone to make an image clickable and set a path.

    So something like this is needed:

    <br /> <a href="#"><img src="" /></a><br />

    From what I can tell Yoko does not have a clickable header. There is no a href around the header.

    I did a search for this just to be sure, but can't find a workaround that you could use here.

    Why do you want the image to be clickable if I may ask?

    A clickable header image to go home is something that came about in past years. Technically speaking it is superflous, as that is what the home button is for. (simply speaking, you'll be fine without. ;-) )

    Yoko claiming to be modern, may actually hook into a trend of not linking the header image.

  3. You can repurpose a link from somewhere else and lay it over the top of the header image. For example, you can do it with the site title i the Yoko theme.

    First, you need to go to the Appearance → Header page and check the option that says, "Show header text with your image." Then add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

    #site-title a {
    	display: block;
    	height: 200px;
    	position: absolute;
    	text-indent: -9999px;
    	top: 115px;
    	width: 1102px;
    }

    #site-title h2 {
    	display: none;
    }
