Linking from Home to Interviews Page

  1. Hi all,

    I have a home page where we default to put all of our posts. I have created a new page (currently private while in development) called "interviews". Here is what I'm looking to do:

    When I create a post that has to do with interviews, I want to post it on the home page, but only post a blurb (aka the first paragraph, plus a "more" button) and have it link to the Interviews page, where the entire post will be. Is that possible?

    The goal is for people to KNOW there is a new interview post up, and click to it FROM the home page.

    Thanks for your help!

    The blog I need help with is risingpyramid.org.

  2. We can't begin to help you until you provide a link to the blog in question, starting with http://

    I think I found the blog in question.

    @risingpyramid
    Is this the blog you are referring to?

    On wordpress.com blogs we can insert "the more tag" into our posts and we can customize the wording. All of those posts will apear on the front page of our blog unless we choose to change that. Hence, we cannot have "the more link" to the full post link to a static page.

    Ah, don't know what I did not to find it? Anyway…

    The goal is for people to KNOW there is a new interview post up, and click to it FROM the home page.

    A custom menu might help. Add a category called "interviews" then add the category page for "interviews" from the custom menu.

  5. Meant to say:
    then add the category page for "interviews" from the custom menu.
    then add the category page link for "interviews" to the custom menu.

  6. Perfect! Thank you guys for all of the help.
