  1. I had links, but they have disappeared. I went to widgets, tried moving Links from left to Secondary Sidebar, but they don't appear. I have Pilcrow with three columns. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is texaslonestarreader.wordpress.com.

  2. Exactly which blog are you referring to? Please post an active link starting with http:// to the eact blog you are asling about.

  3. http://readingtothemax.wordpress.com

Sorry about that. As I asked, how can I delete the others that were early experiments? It might eliminate the confusion.

  4. Don't delete them: set them to Private. It's always good to have a few in your back pocket for experimenting with themes, etc. And if you delete them, nobody not even you can ever use that URL again.

And on your Dashboard->Users you can change what blog your name links to.

  5. Where is Private?

Do you mean I can change the name of my URL in Dashboard->Users?

  6. No.

Under Settings->Privacy, set the entire blog to Private.

AND when you make a post here, there's a drop-down menu for you to choose the blog you're talking about. Use it.

  7. You can delete a blog deleted blog URLs here are not recycled. That's why 3 warnings are given and why a vertfication link in an email that must be clicked is sent in order to accomplish deletion. I sugesst you simply make the blogs ptivate rather, than deleting them. You can use them as test blogs and/or as backup blogs.

  8. ~~raincoaster
    I apologize for the overlapping.

  9. OK, I fixed the About Me by deleting the old page and creating a new one. Problem solved.

Now, I still need help on figuring out what happened to my Links. Where do I put them on the right side of the Widget page? Secondary Sidebar, Feature Area, First Footer Area, or Second Footer Area? or somewhere else.

    Please help.

  10. Put your links widget in whichever sidebar/footer area you want it to show up in. Note that it won't show up until you have some links in it.

  11. I do, but they disappeared when I changed my theme. I'll try yet again. Maybe tomorrow. This has been too frustrating.

If you pay $30, do you get a Help Desk?

  12. You create a blogroll in your dashboard Links section and then display it in the sidebar by installing the Links widget. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/

  13. If you pay $30, do you get a Help Desk?

Eevry upgrade has a different price on it. Staff are few in number and they are barraged with people who ask questions that can be answered by using the learn wordpress.com tutorail, and support docs and forum searches. I have been flabberghasted by what I see people with upgrades posting to the Staff Questions Forum which you have access to if and onlu if you purchase any upgrade.

In March Staff changed the support links so that only those with upgrades have direct access to them and others are directed to this forum. In essence, direct Staff support became an upgrade as it's now only available to those with upgrades in March.

  14. On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/

The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.
