Links directing to wrong site

  1. I do write for an adult sex-themed blog which I believe does not violate any WordPress codes as there are many sex blogs out there that cover the same topics I've been writing about.

I recently posted a review in which I linked numerous times to the adult toy website [Porn Website Link Removed -Slik] and their sub pages. This is not unlike the other reviews I've written for them before.

Upon posting I realized that all my links to Adam and Eve lead to WordPress' Types of Blogs page while all links appear to direct properly in editing. I've edited this a number of times without any change. Only the links to Adam and Eve are being redirected and not the links I have in the review leading to other external sources.

I'm trying to figure out why this is the case as, as I said, I do not believe that I am violating any codes for adult material. Since this post is for the benefit of an external company who are looking for our links to their site, I would like to get this problem fixed as soon as possible. Can anyone help??

The blog I need help with is hornygeek.wordpress.com.

  2. Were they affiliate links by any chance? WP seems like they are now filtering for affiliate links and when they find them, they change the link to point to the "types of blogs" support document.

If they were not affiliate links, then you will have to contact staff directly at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and give them all the details including a link to the post in question.

Yes and no. When Staff find a TOS violation they change the link to the exact page you are finding your post linked to (wordpress.com blogs cannot be used to drive traffic to 3rd party sites - TOS violation). But no we volunteers cannot help you. Here's the contact link for Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  4. Affiliate links to sites that are frequently abused by spammers are sometimes redirected to a support page. Not everyone is a spammer of course, please contact support if you think this has been done incorrectly or unfairly.
