   How can I display a list of posts?

   I tried using the Archives Widget but that just takes me to the latest entry for the month I select.
   I also tried using Categories Widget but that just takes me to the latest entry for the Category I select

   As a last alternative, I created an Archives page and entered [archives type=postbypost format=html showcount=true] in the body.
   This gives me a list of posts but there are no dates or any other information next to each title. Is there anyway to expand this ability to maybe include publish date, summary, sorted by category, etc.? Anything to expand this ability will help.

   Or is there a way to get Archives widget and the Category widget to display a list of posts instead of the latest post?

   Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

   Not automatically. You can do it by hand though, either in a post or in a text widget.

   Some themes have archives templates which will do this. Take a look at this blog post by Panos: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/archives-template/ .

   Ah, thanks for the update. I didn't realize some themes had extra Archive Page features.
