Location of Jetpack Stats database?

  1. Reasons/backstory not really needed. I want to download/have access to a copy of my Jetpack Stats Database. Where can I get this from? Can I download a copy from WordPress.com? It does not appear to be saved/stored on my server.

    Thanks for any help.

    -Joel

The blog I need help with is www.joelthegreat.com.

  2. The blog you specified at http://www.joelthegreat.com does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. The reason I post this here and not WordPress.org is that the Jetpack Stats are hosted here, not there.

  4. Woah woah woah, don't everyone answer this at once. It's going to take me forever to sort through all these replies....
    :(

  5. I suggest looking for an answer to your question here first > http://jetpack.me/support/ If you do not find one then the Jetpack forum is at WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.

  6. ... Jetpack support is unavailable till May 15th for no reason stated (Which is why I posted here, hoping to find an answer before then. No one responds on the wordpress.org support forum to my question.

Fantastic support WordPress has. No one knows the answer to this?

  8. Jetpack Stats are stored here, not in your database.

At this time, we do not have a way to export stats, but I can transfer them to a different WordPress.com blog or Jetpack-powered WordPress.org blog.

  9. Thank you Timetheif for taggint this thread.

Macmanx: So basically my stats are stored on one of your DB's, and I can access info from it via the Jetpack/Stats plugin...but I can't get a copy of the DB? Hmmm.

The reason I am wanting a copy is I was planning to export the 'search engine terms' table to be able to see EVERYTHING people used to find my site, currently the stats plugin of JetPack will show me search terms of all time, but only returns like 500 rows, starting with the most common, and working it's way down (the last entries on the list being used at least 3 times to find my site). But I want to see every response. Even if it was only used once. People mispell words ya know?

Basically I want to analyze data for the entire time my site has been up, but can't get the complete information because of this drawback.

Is there a way to have Jetpack keep the stats on my sites DB instead? OR is there another recommended stats type plug in that would do this for me?

  10. Your best bet would be to ask over at WordPress.ORG about other Stats packages - I would be surprised if there is not some sort of Stats package that does what you want

  11. PS - Are you using Google Webmaster Tools? They have a bunch of info I don't look way back on mine but that might also be an option

  12. The Jetpack team got back to me, and I was able to get the information I needed.

There is an API you can use to get data from your stats. It's located here: http://stats.wordpress.com/csv.php

Does take a little tweaking, trial and error, and a little know how, but it worked for me!

This issue can be considered solved/closed now.

    Thanks everyone for their help
