Locking down images

  1. I am needing to temporarily "hide" my blog until I can lock down the images from being copied. I need some time to dig deeper (and identify if I need to upgrade to PRO to be able to do this, or...if I am able to lock down images from the "free" version of my blog).

If I can get an email response to [email redacted], that would be fabulous!

    Thank you so very much!
    Jes.

The blog I need help with is sunnyfrecklesphotography.wordpress.com.

  2. Set your site to private at settings > general in your dashboard.

Here is the bottom line though: There is no way to "lock down" your images. It takes no time at all to get around virtually all such supposed security measures. If you don't want images taken, don't put them on the web.

The best thing is to watermark them and don't post full-sized images, and then if someone does take it, they don't get much. Generally I won't post an image larger than 800px wide at 72dpi.
