   Is there a way (in P2 theme) to let users log in to the front page and not to the dashboard?

   If a user log in from the Meta widget or from /wp-admin/ they will end up in the dashboard. I've chosen P2 theme for its simplicity and don't want to confuse my users with the rather advanced dashboard interface.

   A nice solution would have been if you could activate the log in top bar visible when you are visiting wordpress.com without being logged in on your blog.

   Is there a solution to this for a wordpress.com hosted blog? I know there is one for self hosted sites.

   The blog I need help with is ronnasfjarding.wordpress.com.

   Remove the meta widget and add a link to the type of URL shown here:
   http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/a-login-link-on-a-page-that-returns-user-to-page?replies=5#post-660675

   And please link to the blog in question when asking for advice in these forums.
