Looking for suggestions for a free News/Magazine theme

    Hi all,
    I'm pretty new and was hoping you might be able to help me with some suggestions for a good (free) News/Magazine website style theme.

    I've had a look around but i read an article about a lot of theme sites you find via google have malicious code in them so i'm wanting to avoid that.

    If you can't suggest a good theme maybe just trustworthy sites i could have a through.

    You do not need to worry about malicious code in themes and what follows will explain why that is.

    There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and you cannot install third party themes.

    The only themes we can use are those found here > Appearance > Themes
    This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template and we cannot access the underlying files and edit templates or themes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

    Cheers, the only thing is i was planning on hosting it on my own server, so shold i still worry about it?

    I had a look through all the ones on the WP themes thingy, but it didn't really have anything similar to what i was looking for so i think i have to go externally. Probably will pay for one but thought i would ask more knowledgeable people than me.

    We do not provide support for loacl install of wordpress on this forum. If you are planning to self host then you are in the wrong place. You will need to register a username account on the top right hand corner of this page http://wordpress.corg and post all your support questions there.
