Lost - Dont know how to blog

  1. I may sound stupid. But i still don't know how to post on others blogpage .
Many times i can't even find the comments or replies section.
I want to post a new topic or new thread but cannot find the buttons on others blog.
Can any kind soul teach me.
you could email me if ok, [email redacted]

The blog I need help with is pavilionsquaregeylang.wordpress.com.

  2. I am also new to blogging and have found some great tutorials on YouTube of how to proceed with blogging, getting rid of spams that in essence, steal your traffic. Try this:

    http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wordpress+blogging+instruction&sm=3

  3. He's actually only asking about commenting.

You cannot start a new topic on someone else's blog.

  4. By the way, many bloggers will probably not add a comments section since "track-backs" and unpatrolled RSV feeds allow other sites to steal traffic, that which could be beneficial to them. In order to protect themselves from such pilfering, they turn off comments. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization is what everyone wants for their sites, especially if they are trying to sell something (from goods to information). By linking to someone else's site, it makes their site less important in Google's eyes than the site they mention and that site is awarded higher points, which puts them up higher in the search engines. (think eBay and Amazon, for instance).

  5. Are you even sober?

  6. Good gawd! What was that?

  7. Gibberish, from someone who has never heard of a NoFollow link.

  8. What's a NoFollow link?

  9. rickfok,

Posting on another's blog is not a right, it's a privilege. You aren't automatically allowed to do so by being a WordPress.com member. You have to ask permission or be invited to contribute to another's blog. If a blog adminstrator decides to allow you to contribute to their blog, they must offer you one of the higher-ranking user roles, from "contributor" on up to "administrator" before you can do so. Have I got that right, raincoaster?

An adminstrator may also allow selected guests to contribute articles for posting without awarding one of the above user roles, all of which allow access to the site, through other avenues, such as via email, as timethief has done.

Many times i can't even find the comments or replies section.

Comments might be shut off for various reasons. Also, a blog administrator can decide who is allowed to comment. The WordPress support page titled "Who Can Comment" says,

You can allow only registered WordPress.com users to comment, or you can allow anyone to comment. If you allow anyone to comment, you can choose whether the name and email fields are required or not. [read more]

Please don't hesitate to ask, rickfok, if you have additional questions.
