What's happened is that the Hello World placeholder post was deleted and that produced a 404 (page not found) error message. All you have to do is publish a post (not a page) and it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ -
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
