Lost post

  1. I hit save and it disappeared. Where did my hour of work disappear to?

The blog I need help with is kaiserswest.wordpress.com.

  2. I spent more than an hour preparing a post and when I hit the save button, it completely disappeared. When I go back and look under revisions, they are all blank, too. Where did it go??? Is there any hope of finding it? I am a little upset. Thanks!

  3. Unfortunately, probably not. It's a recurring problem particularly with those who use the New Post button on the Admin bar. You can try and back arrow to it, but that's about the best suggestion I have.

  4. Thank you. It happened once before and I could not locate it anywhere, either. I am bummed!!! Thanks...

  5. Hi there,

This bug has been addressed, but you will need to upgrade to the latest Firefox, which is version 17. You are currently running version 10. We highly recommend that you keep your browsers current in order to not be the victim of really horrible bugs like this one.

I sincerely apologize for your lost work - I feel the pain of that keenly myself.

Once you upgrade, you should be in the clear.

  6. I have no idea how you know what version of what I have on my computer, but you are incorrect, anyway. I currently run 16.10. That sort of bothers me that you would know that, or think you know that. How can you access my operating systems?

  7. Staff can see what are using.

  8. Here's that missing word "you" lol :D

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com and also post any error reports you get.

  9. Done, done, and done.

  10. I apologize again for the angst that lost posts cause. Keeping your browser updated to the most current version should be the best protection against something like this happening again.

  11. Thanks! Back at it this morning and so far, so good! Thanks for the direction!

  12. Cheers!
