Lotsa questions!! :D Thanks

  1. Hello!

I have a couple of questions; I know this is addressed in the support documents but I'm still a little confused :S

I want to change the name that comes up for example when I post this question: it says 'theunfashionistadiaries' but that is only one of my blogs and not even one that I'm using anymore; I want it to be my full name and NOT my blog name :S in some places my name does appear (for example in my comments on my blog)- how do I get it to appear all the time everywhere, instead of having my blog name come up?

Also- where do I change the following two things:

    - the little picture icon that comes up next to my URL in the brewer's address bar?
    - the title of my site along the top of the browser; right now, for example for my blog whimsicalrebellion.com- it simply says whimsicalrebellion (all one word) but I'd like to change it myself to something I want... how would I do this?

Finally I have a question in particular regard to the iTheme2 theme... I want to make it so that my name doesn't come up in the author: etc. line at the bottom of my posts- is this possible? I have 3 blogs that operate out of the same account so I don't want to do something that will affect my identity on the other blogs; but can I turn off the author line on this particular one?

Lol- these are probably reaaaaaally basic questions but they're puzzling meeeee! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Thank you SO much! :)

The blog I need help with is whimsicalrebellion.com.

  2. First, read this:

In the forums, your username is always used. What you're talking about with your real name (or part of it) is your Display name.

    http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/7-things-to-know-before-posting-in-wordpresscom-forums?replies=1

#2 will answer at least one of your questions, the rest will be helpful to you.

    Next, use this:

    http://learn.wordpress.com/

  3. Pretty much all those questions are already answered in the forum, and the search box should lead you to the answers.

But since this is your first time:

where do I change the following two things:

    - the little picture icon that comes up next to my URL in the brewer's address bar?

Settings_>General->Blavatar on the right-hand side of the page.

    - the title of my site along the top of the browser; right now, for example for my blog whimsicalrebellion.com- it simply says whimsicalrebellion (all one word) but I'd like to change it myself to something I want... how would I do this? You're going to have to buy another domain name if you're referring to what comes up in the actual URL box of your browser. If you just want to change the name as it appears on the blog, that's Settings->General as before.

Nope. Most themes don't display the author name on posts, so you could switch themes and solve the problem. OR you could learn CSS editing and buy the Custom Design upgrade and hide it that way. Do not buy the upgrade before you have learned how to use CSS.

  4. And here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/

On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page. The search box on that page provides results form both the support docs and from forum threads.
