making links to Read Blog categories

  1. Is this actually simply a case of putting 'humour' 'art' 'books' as tags in my own blog...???
Otherwise, how can the WordPress search engine know how to categorise my blog so that people might happen upon it in these categories?? (And I don't mean my own categories unless I'm mistaken)

The blog I need help with is lovegusset.wordpress.com.

  2. The more tags/categories you use, the less likely it is that your post will be selected for inclusion in the global tag listings. Please read these sections in the support documentation and comprehend that we bloggers choose which Tags and/or Categories to assign to our posts - not our pages and not our blogs.

Also note that it's not necessary to assign any tags or categories to any posts at all as Google search spiders use the keywords in the text in your posts when they index your content. It's Google and other search engines that deliver siginficant traffic to blogs. It's not the WordPress.com global tag pages that do that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/global-tags/

The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.
