ldsphilosopherIs there a way to "disable" my wordpress.com blog? I don't want to delete it, or its content, but I want to make it disappear from public access as if it doesn't exist.

You can do that. See here for Privacy settings > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Note: Whatever Google has indexed will not be removed from their search page results until they flush their caches which is every 3 - 6 months.
