Malicious website linking to my blog

  1. Hi,
A malicious website is linking to my blog. Is there a way to stop the links from this website from arriving at my site? I've tried changing the URL slightly but they just find the new URL and keep linking.

    Thanks for your help,

How do you know it is malicious? You can't prevent people from linking to a public blog. Is the site stealing your content?

  3. Do you work for WordPress.com?

No i don't. You don't seem to want any help from the forum?

There are pages of threads with bloggers waiting to answers that are not on the front page of the forum. Perhaps you would like to deal with those who posted first. Perhaps you would also like to backup what you post with relevant links so when threads are found in the searchbox those reference links are there. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/view/no-replies/page/5

  6. I want a professional answer to my question within 24 hours or I'm cancelling all of my premium WordPress services and switching to a competing service.

  7. This is ridiculous.

  8. I flagged this thread for Staff, who till tell you that none of us can control who links to our blog or to our content.

  9. Ultimately, we have no control over who decides to link to your site. This is the same anywhere you go, as the web is a (mostly) free and public arena.

On the bright side, at least they're sending traffic your way.

  10. I have done some searching and located this for you. Please note that we cannot help you with it. All search engine issues are bewteen the blogger and search engines.

Google launched this on the 16th October, and there has been mixed opinion on whether or not the tool works http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/a-new-tool-to-disavow-links.html If you have been negatively affected by unnatural links, penguins or any other type of link spam penalty, there is a solution, you can get out of it and in a reasonable amount of time.
