onemomWant to thank the wordpress staff for the excellent instructions for mapping and redirecting my wordpress.com blog to my new domain http://onemom.com. I followed the steps as described at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/redirecting-your-blog/ and it worked perfectly! Ran some tests on google searches, and each time I clicked a link to my wordpress.com blog, I was taken to that post at my new domain.
Wonderful directions, and so glad for the 302 permanent redirect now. Thanks wordpress!
Yes it cost me $12 for the upgrade (redirect), but it is worth that $1/month to not lose my web presence! Truly a small price to pay. I tell anyone interested in blogging that there is no choice, except WordPress!
