mattcolon stop spamming our forums

  1. @mattconlon
You have been gently told by another WordPress.com blogger that you are not welcome to promote your WordPress.org blog here. Your response was to amp up your posting here in a forum your don't belong in rather than blogging off. Your blog is not part of the WordPress.com community and these forums are only for WordPress.com bloggers. Please find another place to promote your WordPress.org blog. Thanks, in advance, for listening.

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. I believe I'm all set as far as the rules now, as I'm promoting the blog that I have that IS a part of wordpress.com.

For what it's worth, my response wasn't to amp up my posting. I've just moved from blogger, and ampped up my posting from 0 to posting... just happened that I posted a lot before I realized the rules. Then I got a dozen such gentle warnings.

I believe I am in compliance now, if I'm mistaken, please let me know.

  4. Hi there,
I'm sorry I created this thread before we connected in the other one. It's easy for new bloggers to confuse WordPress.com and WordPress.org. These wordspress.com forums are only for WordPress.com bloggers. WordPress.org bloggers have their own forum here http://wordpress.org. Thanks for changing the blog linked to your username; it's now linked to your WordPress.com blog.

  5. @mattconlon, I am glad you got that figured out because I was losing a lot of sleep over the situation! lol WordPress "Off Topic" is very serious business for only serious discussions. For example, let's start a new topic. What is your favorite food?

  6. Yep! I gotcha.

I had answered a couple times in the other threads, before seeing this one. I figured I'd just make sure we were all on the same page now.

  7. Heck, everyone - just chill! :)

  8. Pretty much EVERYONE does this when they first get to WP.com. And the smart ones do it in the Off Topic forum; the stupid ones do it in the Support forum. As long as it's over here with all those 50-year-olds pretending to be teens "Any teen girl bloggers here? Any? PLEASE?" who cares?
