I would like to know if video that we post using the video press feature will play on apple portable devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad? I assume that if we upload the video in a format that these devices support that we should be OK. Or does the video playback work using flash?
Can someone clarify this all for me please? Also, is MP4 the best format (for quality and size) or is there something else that is better.

Yes, VideoPress videos will play on Apple's mobile devices. We specifically detect them and serve up a non-Flash player for them.
We re-encode the video file you upload to various formats, but yes, MP4 is a great format to use to upload. For a full list of video types that we support for uploading:
