Media doesn't show up after import from selfhosted WP

  1. I've imported my blog from a selfhosted platform to wordpress.com.

I'm impressed with the import - media, comments, blogposts, etc. all came across fine. But for some reason the media don't show up in the posts. From what I can see, the media files are stored in the right place and the links are correct.

Anyone has an idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?

The blog I need help with is geilis.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm sorry but we Volunteers can't help with this issue. However, a Staff member is posting on the board so I'll flag this for Staff attention

  3. On import, you had an option to import attached media. Did you check that box?

If so, was the media actually attached to posts on your self-hosted blog?

  4. I must admit that I never spotted the 'import attached media' button during the import procedure. Tried twice. . . . . .

Media on my self-hosted blog is attached to the blogposts . . .I think. Media is added with the 'Add media' button.

    -go

  5. Can you please send the export file to support@wordpress.com along with details on from where to where you're importing?

  6. Hi!
I have the exact same problem. Recenly imported my blog from wordpress.com to a selfhosted wordpress.org. The media shows up in the blogposts but not in my media library and when you click on the pictures the picture's address is still to the old blog.

I clicked the download and import media when importing :)
