Media Library

  1. Hello!
I recently changed my blog's theme. I decided to be fancy and create a custom menu. In the examples on the help page, they had a tab named media. I thought this was a great idea, as I have uploaded many pictures. However, I cannot seem to figure out a way to add a link to all of my photos. Right now, it is so that the link will take a reader to one of the photos. Is there a magic way to link the tab with all of the images I have uploaded? I thought about perhaps making a gallery post and then linking it to that, but that seems difficult and sloppy (not to mention i don't really know how to do that either).
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Amanda

The blog I need help with is amandabrandt.wordpress.com.

  2. Put your image in your post, just as you have been doing.

Left-click the image in visual editor.
You will see a little image icon in the upper left-hand corner. Click it.
You will be in the image editor.
Scroll down to where you see "link url."
Delete anything that is there, if there is anything, and paste in the link that you want the image to go to.

You will need to do this for each individual image, as far as I am aware, and it cannot be done in the media library itself, but only in the post.

If you know html and use the html editor, you can insert the link around the img src code in the usual way.

  3. Scratch that!

I didn't read the first part of your question correctly!

I don't think that there is a way to do that unless you upload your images to a post or page (using a gallery would work).

  4. Haha thanks I will try it!
