Menu Bar Modifications

  1. Hi, my wordpress site is link is http://ashleykonson.wordpress.com and i am using the "Forever" theme. In the navigation bar i want to push the page link name "Home", "Bio" and "Services" to the left.

    Also how can i change the menu bar background color from white to say light blue.

    Looking forward to some help

    The blog I need help with is ashleykonson.wordpress.com.

  2. To make the Forever theme menu left aligned, remove the float property like this:

    #access ul {
    	float: none;
    }
  3. How do you move the navigation bar to the be above the header? Like in the Forever demo? I am working on setting up my blog now, it is at http://weddingsinjacksonhole.wordpress.com

    thanks!
    Lindsey

  4. Also how can i change the menu bar background color from white to say light blue.

    The menu bar background color can be changed to light blue in the Forever theme by adding something like this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page:

    #access {
    	background:#A0CFFB;
    }
  5. How do you move the navigation bar to the be above the header? Like in the Forever demo?

    To move the top navigation menu in the Forever theme above to just below the site title, try adding this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS and adjust the numbers to your liking:

    #masthead {
    	position: relative;
    }

    #site-title {
    	margin-bottom: 50px;
    }

    #site-description {
    	padding-bottom: 1em;
    }

    #access {
    	display: block;
    	position: absolute;
    	left: 0;
    	top: 178px;
    }
  6. Side note: By default, the Forever theme shows the navigation between the header and the featured image slider. The navigation menu appears first on the Forever demo site because that site doesn't have a custom header image setup.
