menu weirdness in Coraline theme

  1. Hi,

I have a personal website set up at dustylong.wordpress.com and I'm having trouble with the menu. Recently, through no action from me (site last updated in ~Oct, noticed this 2 weeks or so ago), certain portions of my menu are being highlighted (white on black). These are the same portions of my menu that have drop downs.

    What gives?

    best,
    Dusty

The blog I need help with is dustylong.wordpress.com.

  2. Will you please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question? Have your read about the theme updating Staff have done? http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/11/21/theme-improvements/

  3. Sorry, http://dustylong.wordpress.com

And those updates (Ithink) did not affect custom menus.

  4. Thanks for the link. I'm sorry I didn't note it in the OP originally. I have Coraline up on my test blog and I see the same display re: drop-downs that you do. As I don't use this theme I'm not clear about what you think has changed.

  5. So when you open my site, there are two menu sections, 'Research' and 'Publications', that are highlighted in white on the black background. The other sections are not and are simply white text on the black background.
I'm on mac osx, and this is the case for chrome, safari, and firefox.

  6. Oh, and this is only the case on the home page.

  7. I'm seeing the same thing you do using Firefox 8. However, as I said above I don't use this theme so I'm not aware of what may have changed. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. It will be moved to the Theme Forum where Themes Staff can reply to you.

  8. To correct this, go to Appearance > Menus, open those two custom links, type # in the URL field, click Save Menu.

  9. And success. Thanks!

  10. You're welcome!
